Henry Wolfe's music is a mash up of creative arrangements, retro-pop undertones & lyrics filled with curiosity and truth. He has collaborated with indie greats such as members of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Dawes, and Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti to create a sound most easily described as intellectual folk pop.
Wolfe first made his mark in the music world with New York-based indie band Bravo Silva. Following the dissolution of the band, Wolfe relocated to Los Angeles and formed his own solo act. He released his first album, ‘Linda Vista’, which was produced by Aaron Older and Nico Aglietti of Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes The album was positively received by major music reviewers in publications such as Rolling Stone Magazine and the A.V. Club. His music video for his song “Encino” first premiered via the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles. Wolfe has been featured in both film and television, most reputably on the Jimmy Kimmel Live! and Nora Ephron’s Julie & Julia. Recently, he released a new album, ‘Asilomar’, which has received much critical acclaim. Influenced by music greats such as Harry Nilsson, Neil Young, and Arthur Russell, he is drawn to write songs that are rooted to a sense of place.
