“Now you have seen something truly wonderful…these women, these different faces from all over the world, this music is what will bring us together.” –Babatunde Olatunji, Master Drummer of Nigeria.

From Panama to Kenya to Morocco to the United States, the seven women of ADAAWE fuse the sounds of their nations for a high octane kaleidoscope of pure musical joy.

Breathing new life into traditional music, ADAAWE blend West African roots, Latin grooves, Gospel harmonies and American funk, delivering a show of energetic world-fusion.

ADAAWE has headlined countless performing arts venues, festivals, colleges and clubs across the U.S. The group has opened for renowned artists such as James Brown, Michael Franti and Spearhead, Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Mickey Hart, and Los Lobos.
