Advance Ticket Sales Closed.  Plenty of tickets available at the door.  Doors open at 7:30pm. $20.    Hawaiian “slack-key” guitarist, JIM “KIMO” WEST is one of the few masters of this acoustic guitar style known in Hawaii as “ki ho’alu”, literally “loosen the string.” He performs traditional songs and creates new compositions that have been featured in film, Disney productions, TV, and commercials.
Kimo is also well known as long-time guitarist for the world’s most successful musical satirist, “Weird Al” Yankovic.  With the Weird Al band, Kimo just won another Grammy for the CD, Mandatory Fun."
Kimo is also a 2008 winner of the Hawaii Music Awards for Slack Key. He is also a two-time winner of the LA Treasures Award for his efforts in keeping this important acoustic guitar tradition alive.
Special guests steel guitarist, MARTY RIFKIN of Bruce Springsteen’s band and hula dancers, AMANDA TAKETA & KEVIN TSUSUI will dance to accompany.
