Celebrated by the NY Times as "a gifted vocalist" and by the LA Times as "one of the important new jazz singers of the decade," Charmaine Clamor gained recognition as the Queen of Jazzipino, blending jazz and Filipino traditional music. Her range has grown to include a stunning mix of jazz standards, with touches of blues and gospel.
Her brand new record, THE BETTER ANGELS, produced by the great Laurence Hobgood, is finished and she is ready to share some of the amazing new arrangements, along with a selection of jazzipino favorites!
Charmaine will be backed at the Annex by a phenomenal trio: Abe Lagrimas, Jr. - ukulele virtuoso, percussionist; Dominic Thiroux - LA Music Center award-winning bassist; and Robert Perez, 2013 JazzPhil-USA Talent Search Winner.
