Joe's Sea directed by Enzo Incontro, has earned the director prestigious awards, and accolades. The film takes the viewer from Sicily, to California to Alaska on the trail of legendary fishermen Joe Bonanno who left the Sicilian island of Marettimo during the last century and emigrated to America seeking more opportunity and better future for his family. His story represents an entire epoch of many who re-built their lives thanks to the flourishing fishing industry that was at its peak on the west coast of the United States from 1930s to 1950s. (Some Italian language, English narration). Note: Mr. Bonanno is invited and hoping to attend as the honored guest of the LAHIFF.
