The "Grand Chairs" & Their Artists

Pat Woolley was born and raised in Southern France. The light, color and design of the area very much influence her work.

Early art education at the Academic Julian in Paris and then at Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles (now in Pasadena).

The Manhattan Beach artist has a studio at 345 West 7th Street in San Pedro. If she is not painting, she is more than likely taking photos of the area. One of her ongoing series is called Reflections of San Pedro.

An award winning artist, Pat has had a one woman show at the Palos Verdes Art Center called Bearly Impressions. Bears are used in well-known artwork. She has been a regular guest artist at the Courtyard Gallery in Idyllwild, CA. Featured at the Manhattan Beach Creative Arts Show: Water media Traditional/Experimental. Artist in the Hermosa Beach Art Walk. Member and curator of the San Pedro Art Association. Author and illustrator.

"I am using the chair as a canvass to portray the mood of Art Deco through 3 dancing figures."
