The "Grand Chairs" & Their Artists

Growing up in St. Louis and graduating from the University of Kansas with a major in Graphic Design and Photography, David started his career in Advertising and Design at Six Flags Amusement Parks. From there he worked at a major Los Angeles Ad Agencies with clients such as Toyota, Nissan, Jet America, Dos Equis Beer, The Irvine Company, Kaufman & Broad and Meguirs Car Waxes. In 1991, David opened the Meffert Group which worked on event marketing projects within the Auto Industry.

Joining EMG in 2001 to head up the creative department for ChampCar, the open wheel racing series. David then took his talents to Mexico where he was also responsible for all the Advertising & Promotions for the Mexico City and the Monterey Grand Prix whose combine attendance was over a half a million spectators in 2003. In his spare time, David loves to work with wood and paints murals with Ms. Patty Woods.
